About Me

Approach to Counselling

I work from the understanding that we all construct a view of the ourselves, others and the world based on perceptions of our early experiences; these perceptions provide a foundation for our way of “being” in the world. Making the connections between past and present, and making meaning of our behaviors, emotions and thoughts, and their functionality in the present, is part of the therapeutic process.

I draw from various therapeutic approaches in my work, including, though not limited to, Adlerian Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
